My new book, Consider This, is a compilation of ideas and insights poised to serve as a guiding light in navigating life's complexities. Drawing from my work with clients and personal experiences, it offers readers a tapestry of wisdom to ponder and apply to their own journeys. Whether seeking inspiration, practical advice, or a fresh perspective, 'Consider This' is a companion for those keen on delving into topics ranging from managing anxiety to effective communication to handling criticism.
This project originated as a creative endeavor on Instagram stories. Over the course of a year, I shared daily reflections focusing on themes of mental health and relationships. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with many followers asking, "Could you compile these into a book?" And so, this book was born.
Here’s an excerpt:
Recommitment is as significant as the initial commitment. You will stumble, shift, or have moments of inconsistency that require recommitment. Refuse to give up on starting over. With gardening, when one seed doesn’t grow, you plant another one.
If you haven’t reached out to a friend in a month, don’t let it turn into two months— connect with them today.
If you vowed to go to bed without scrolling social media but you scrolled last night, put your phone down tonight.
Recommitment can mean renewing your vows to yourself.
Renew your self- commitments over and over. Take everything day by day, moment by moment.
Resist the urge to stick to what you don’t want. This will creep in as “I can’t” language:
“I can’t put my phone down.”
“I can’t go for a walk.”
Be a person who starts over often.
Consider This will hit shelves on October 15, 2024, and is currently available for preorder.
